With over 10 years of experience as an Acute and Community Care Nurse, I have dedicated my career to advocating for compassionate and accessible healthcare. My journey in the healthcare industry is rooted not only in my professional expertise but in deeply personal experiences. Both of my parents passed away from cancer, and caring for my father for three months at home was a transformative time in my life. It was during this period that I truly understood the hardships and emotional challenges that come with caregiving, which further fueled my passion for palliative care.
I hold a bachelor's degree from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and completed post-graduate studies in Palliative Care from Grant MacEwan University, where I refined my ability to provide care with empathy and understanding. My hands-on experience, combined with this education, has shaped my approach to senior care, where I strongly advocate for dignity, respect, and individualized attention.
Beyond clinical care, I am a champion for entrepreneurship and innovation in the healthcare sector. My first venture, Inn Homecare Services, laid the foundation for my current role at Bluestar Healthcare. I believe in creating accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare services for all communities, and I’m committed to expanding Bluestar’s vision of inclusive care.
My educational background is complemented by business consulting training from the Global Business Centre, further equipping me to lead Bluestar Healthcare with a vision of growth and sustainability. Through my personal and professional journey, I remain deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families.
Mirna Ghozayel, RN - General Manager
Mirna is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over 19 years of experience in the medical field. Mirna has a wide range of expertise in different areas from working with children, being an educator, a medical aesthetician, and working with seniors. As an RN, Mirna worked in Cardiology at U of A, LPN clinical instructor at Norquest college on a medical, surgical, Orthopedic units as well as a senior resident. Mirna has also worked in General medical office and provided many medical aesthetics procedures like derma needling, facials, dermaplaning and Botox treatments. Mirna’s dedication knows no age limits. With a passion for bridging the gap between generations, Mirna specializes in providing compassionate care to both children and seniors. From playful story times to tender moments of comfort, Mirna's unique ability to connect with individuals of all ages ensures that each person feels valued and understood. Mirna transforms every interaction into a heartfelt connection. As a general manager of Blue Star Health Services, Mirna will utilize her wide expertise for our cherished seniors.
